ROC Youth is a ministry of River Oaks Community Church designed for all students in middle and high school. We offer 3 weekly programs and a variety of special events throughout the year.
Sunday Night Youth
We meet every Sunday night from 4-7pm in the gym. Students can expect music, a short bible teaching, small group discussions, videos and/or games, food, and hang-out time at this weekly meeting.
Sunday Night Youth will look something like this...
4-4:30 Welcome, Ice Breakers
4:30-5:30 Teaching & Discussion Groups
5:30-6:00 Worship
6:00-7:00 Food and Fun

D-Groups
In addition to the Sunday meeting, a majority of our students are involved in a “D-Group.” The letter “D” stands for discipleship, the primary focus of these groups. These groups meet weekly for prayer, bible study, and to build relationships. D-Groups meet on a variety of nights throughout the week in the homes of several of our adult youth leaders. "Real Life" Sunday School
These classes meet every Sunday morning from 9-10am. We have Sunday School classes for middle and high school students that meet in the youth breakout rooms. See someone at the Welcome Center to help you find the classrooms.

Special Events
The ROC Youth Ministry also sponsors service projects, community Outreach events, fun nights of mini-golf, bowling (and more…), Christian concerts, a spring and fall retreat, mission trips, and summer camp.

Our purpose in ministry is to:
Share the Love of Jesus with Others...
At the ROC Youth Ministry, we do our best to share the love of Jesus with others through our faith and our actions. We do service projects and volunteer work in the community to share the love of God with others. We welcome students of all background, race, and spiritual understanding.
To Help them Grow in Faith...
We put a strong emphasis on encouraging our students to grow in their faith and to go deeper in their relationship with God. While food, drama, and contemporary music form a casual setting, we stress the importance of worship and digging into God´s Word. We believe that nothing is more important for our students than for them to strive to have a deeper relationship with God.
To Serve and Honor God...
We do our best to serve and honor God in everything we do. We do not support functions or ideas that are not aligned with the Bible´s teaching, and we stress a life that serves and honors God in every aspect. We serve and honor God through our mission trips, service projects, community outreach, and more.
And to Enjoy our Time Together.
You will find the ROC Youth Ministry to be a comfortable and loving place where middle and high school students can enjoy Christian fellowship and meet new friends. We have a lot of fun trips and activities which are designed to create lasting memories and deep friendships. Some examples of this are an annual fall retreat to the mountains, mini-golf, bowling, Starbucks, and concerts. We try to stray away from the formal church setting to allow youth a casual place to have a good time while learning about Christ.
